Oprah Reveals What She Misses Most on The Oprah Winfrey Show
Three years after The Oprah Winfrey Show ended in 2011, host Oprah Winfrey has admitted she misses one thing dearly: the audience.
On last night’s new episode of ‘The Tonight Show,’ the media mogul, 60, told host Jimmy Fallon she sometimes feels nostalgic for the interactions she used to have with the live audiences on her show.

“I have to say I do miss the audience and I loved my audiences that came from all over the country every day,” she confessed. “It was a big deal to come to ‘The Oprah Show,’ and come to Chicago.”
And those who saw Oprah’s talk show — which began in 1986 and remains the highest-rated talk show in American television history today — weren’t just idle viewers, she explained.
“I used to shake everybody’s hand — for 10 solid years I shook everybody’s hand in the audience,” Oprah said. “[And] everyday after the show I would sit with the audience and talk for half-an-hour to 40 minutes.”

“That’s great. I would do that but I don’t think they would care,” replied Jimmy, 40, as his live audience roared with cheers.
